Agrivoltaics Education and Training Institute
The program will run from September through October 2024.
The proposed curriculum will include online instruction beginning in September with onsite instruction and hands-on learning in Union Springs, Alabama in October.
Location: Online and at Little USA Community Solar Campus, Union Springs, Alabama
Fee Waiver & Institute Application:
Little USA (LUSA) believes that access to knowledge should be given to those who seek it, are committed to building a diverse community of participants, and strongly encourage applications from diverse backgrounds and demographics to apply for the program.
The regular fee of $1600 will be waived for participants who fill out the registration form and provide minimal information regarding their status as instructors, learners, and community members within the region.
Content will include:
How the addition of Solar Energy can benefit farmers and agricultural instruction in the region
Introduction to Solar Energy with certification opportunities
Online sessions from researchers and agricultural experts
4-day in-person workshops including a 2-day hands-on review of Solar requirements and a 2day Agrivoltaic workshop provided by Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center include:
