We aim to bring Alabama into the forefront of Electric Vehicle space and to help the green energy movement shine its light onto the Deep South.
Located adjacent to the I-85 interstate & Highway 29 in the heart of Alabama and a stone’s throw away from Georgia, Union Springs offers an exceptional opportunity to provide a convenient stop for everyone, ranging from large freight trucks to families on road trips, and anything in between.

Our preliminary site design was developed by students in the Freedom By Design program at Auburn University, helping us to join the magic of the South with the innovations of tomorrow to create a place where both can merge and be utilized by the whole community, and promote a healthier future for both the people and the natural ecosystem. At the bottom of this section, as well as our other project subsections as well, we’ve displayed their detailed findings as they pertain to past already existing precedents that exist today, as well as what some concepts and ideas could look like in the future for us to implement in our project.
Through these findings and our own organizational goals, we look to cultivate plans to combine the magic of the South with the innovations of tomorrow to create a place where both can merge and be utilized by the whole community, and promote a healthier future for both the people and the natural ecosystem.
